Refrigeration Types

Foster Coldstores can provide a refrigeration solution for any application, whether it be standard equipment or a bespoke solution to suit the application.
There are two main types of refrigeration:
Remote Refrigeration System

Remote system is by far the most reliable form of walk-in refrigeration. Pipework connects the internal evaporator to the external condensing unit. Initial capital cost is higher but the remote system offers energy savings over the years and far superior reliability.

Integral Refrigeration System

Wall or ceiling mounted integral refrigeration system. These systems are only suitable for well ventilated areas. Fresh air must be able to reach the coldroom area for the cooling capacity to regulate temperature.

Ceiling Mounted (Integral)

Integral refrigeration can be a cost-effective means in providing cooling a coldroom, the integral refrigeration system is commonly known as a monoblock. (Requires good ventilation)

  • Specific controller to suit applications

Ceiling Mounted (Integral)

Integral refrigeration can be a cost-effective means in providing cooling a coldroom, the integral refrigeration system is commonly known as a monoblock. (Requires good ventilation)

Low Noise Units (Remote)

Foster Coldstores have a wide choice of low noise solutions to suit any application. Providing attenuated units or supplying mechanical solutions to lower the noise of the unit. These units are especially useful in or near residential areas.

Unhoused Unit (Remote)

Unhoused condensing units suitable for internal application’s i.e. Plant room application, stairwells etc in 32oC or 43oC (Higher available on request). These units are suitable to go inside a building where outside space isn’t available or suitable for an outdoor unit.

Mutli Room Compressor

These units are suitable for applications where the condensing unit is located far away from the coldstore. Our dedicated team will carry out all technical assessments to select the correct unit for your application.

Semi Hermetic (Remote)

These units are suitable for providing cooling to multiple rooms by having one larger central refrigeration system. These systems deliver significant energy savings.
